Why, hello there.
I’m Kallan Bri Daniel, the woman behind the lens. I am a self-taught photographer who has owned my own business for eight years now. I began portrait photography as a means to a creative outlet or “fix”. Photography brought me a sense of magic that I couldn’t find anywhere else. There is something about seeing the drama between bright light and dark shadows, experiencing human expression and connection with my clients, and using the artistry of intentional posing and instruction that all come together for one otherworldly and fleeting sound of a shutter opening and closing. Capturing a memory. Capturing beauty, a moment in time otherwise missed. My happy place. I would consider myself a romantic of sorts. I believe in genuine kindness and the enchanting notion of speaking life into dry bones and watching them come to life again. I believe in loving everyone fervently and with great intentionality. That is ultimately what lead me to the all-consuming beauty that is boudoir photography. There is a great need to shed light on the prevalence of self-loathing and body shaming among women and their counterparts and I’m here, giving it my all, to ignite a flame that sets ablaze like wildfire.
