PREP GUIDE

BUT, WHAT DO I WEAR?

Your boudoir session is deeply personal—what you wear should reflect who you are, not who you think you should be.

Before choosing outfits, take a moment to consider your personal style. Are you drawn to soft and romantic textures, or clean lines with a bold edge? Do you feel most confident in minimal silhouettes, or pieces that make a statement? Your answers will guide your selections and help create images that feel authentic and timeless.

Lingerie photographs best when it fits beautifully and feels comfortable on your body. Lace, silk, satin, mesh, bodysuits, corsets, or an effortlessly undone button-down all photograph elegantly. Structured pieces accentuate curves, while lighter layers bring softness and movement.

Neutral tones—black, ivory, and earth tones—offer an editorial foundation, while bold colors or jewel tones can add drama if they align with your style.

Texture matters more than trends; thoughtful fabrics elevate every image.

We recommend bringing 2–4 outfit options, including:

  • A signature lingerie set that feels most you

  • A softer or more minimal/ editorial look (bodysuit, low-back black dress, or a pair of high cut briefs (think Calvin Klein-esque))

  • A finishing piece such as heels, a blazer, stockings, or statement jewelry

You also will have the option to pose nude or wear “just the sheets” if that appeals to you.

Fit is essential. Comfort allows you to move with ease and confidence—and that confidence translates effortlessly on camera.

Heels are optional but photograph beautifully. Jewelry should be minimal and intentional.

Most importantly, choose pieces that make you feel confident, seen, and fully yourself. This experience is about honoring your body and your style exactly as they are, right now.

Styling guidance is always available if you’d like support curating looks that reflect your vision. In fact, every KBB collection includes a complimentary styling and wardrobe consultation where you and Kallan will be able to discuss a personal vision board tailored to your unique style. Rest assured that you are never alone through this process!

Final Details

The night before your session, take a quiet moment to prepare. Pack your bag with intention—your selected outfits, heels, jewelry, and any finishing pieces—ensuring everything is tried on, steamed, and ready. This small ritual allows you to arrive feeling calm, grounded, and fully present.

On the day of your session, move slowly and give yourself permission to ease into the experience. Nourish your body, hydrate, and arrive freshly showered. Avoid heavy lotions or oils, and choose loose clothing on your way to the studio so your body feels relaxed and unmarked.

Arrive with clean, dry hair and a fresh face, free of heavy product.

When you arrive, take a breath and let yourself settle in. I will take it from there. You don’t need to know how to pose or perform. This experience is fully guided, thoughtfully styled, and created to support you. You are prepared, you are held, and you are exactly where you’re meant to be.

Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.
