Behind the Lens: Crafting an Editorial Photoshoot in Dallas Fort Worth

Every editorial photoshoot begins with a concept. Jade originally reached out wanting to shoot with a pair of giant angel wings as inspiration. Generally, when people think of angel wings they think “light and airy” as their motivation, however my brain went straight to deep contrast with a bit of 90’s street grunge. Luckily, J loved the idea and we hit the ground running with vision boards and wardrobe.

This black Perilla set was definitely eye catching to say the least and made a great co-star to Jade’s angel wings.

From there, we collaborated on a few more looks all unique on their own. My favorite part of this session was the Fort Worth sunset flooding through the IM Spaces windows to create the most perfect Texas golden hour.

It was refreshing to create something outside the norm alongside Jade and her main man (pup) Jack and I can guarantee that we will be shooting together again sooner than later.
